Takeda
Nordic Summer Conference
Once again I had the pleasure to work with the great people at Eventum. Idea to finished video was made by me:). Please see process/workflow below.
Project: Takeda Nordic summer Conference
Client: Takeda
Agency: Eventum
The Process
Event - Motion Graphics - Motion Design - Animation - 3D - 2D
1. Brief - Concept & Ideas
The theme for this corporate event was "Thrive Together". Based on that and the Branded Guidelines I had to come up with a visual look/style for the whole event.
Takeda also have a cherry tree as one of their symbols, and they wanted to include that as well in some way. In this stage I try to make my brain really work and I also look around for inspiration & references.
2. Contact Video Technician
Sometimes the format and resolutions are not standard 16x9. I try to talk to the technician in an early stage so that I know the screen setup before I start creating anything visually.
For this event, the screen was a bit wider than standard format.
3. Styleframes & "selling the concept"
When my brain has come up with an idea, it´s time to "put in on paper". Normally I start with creating some styleframes in a storyboard. The styleframes are images from the Intro/Opener. This way, the client can understand the end-result without me working to much with the animation.
4. Animation & Rendering
After the client has given thumbs up on the styleframes, it´s time to start animating. Here it´s also good to talk to the client and decide how long the Opener can be.
Once the animation is done, it´s time to render. In this case, the Opener was done 100% in a 3D software, so therefore you have to render it out before you can put it back together.
5. Composition, Sound & Export
The next stage is to take all the rendered images and put them together in a compositing software. Here I also add sound and sound effects. When I have something that is 95% done, I show the client who hopefully put their seal of approval on it. After that I fix the last 5% that are normally small tweaks.
6. Delivery & Follow up
When all the videos are approved, I talk again to the technician and/or the Event Agency how they want everything to be delivered(dropbox or Wetransfer maybe?). I also try to be standby when all the videos are being tested, so I can make quick fixes if necessary.
The days after the event, I try to talk to the client to see how everything went.
